Large-Scale Combat Operations Module Exam (LSCO_ME) Practice Test

Sustainment at the national level is driven by centralized providers who coordinate and deliver logistics across the entire force, ensuring a prioritized, unified flow of resources—procurement, distribution, maintenance, and support—throughout theaters and components. This arrangement keeps the national logistics plan aligned with strategic goals and enables seamless support across services and with allies when needed. The other options describe more localized or partner-based maintenance roles: organic maintenance is handled within units themselves rather than at the national level, allied maintenance involves partner nations rather than the national provider, and a national support unit, while possible in some structures, is not the standard mechanism for overall national-level sustainment. Therefore, national providers are the organization typically responsible for sustainment at the national level.
